The plant is an upright perennial, which in temperate climates often behaves as a short-lived one. The variety forms bushy clumps and is characterized by very abundant flowering with cup-shaped flowers from June to August.
The plant is light-loving and requires well-drained loamy soils. The variety successfully overwinters in the conditions of England; however, in other regions it requires the creation of favorable conditions for overwintering. It is intended for use as a dominant feature in flower beds and attracts pollinating insects, including bees and butterflies.
