The plant is a multi-stemmed shrub with upright, slightly drooping shoots, reaching a height of 75–80 cm with a similar crown width. The leaves are leathery and glossy, which provides high decorative appeal throughout the year.
The variety prefers partial shade and acidic, moist, well-drained soils. The plant is characterized by slow growth and winter hardiness within USDA zones 6–10, withstanding temperature drops down to -15°C.
In landscape design, it is used for planting in containers, creating low borders, or mass plantings. The variety is sensitive to soil drying and exposure to direct hot sunlight.
