The variety Little Rocket is a dwarf form of Ligularia stenocephala. The plant forms a dense bush 60–90 cm tall with large heart-shaped leaves. The flowers are bright yellow, collected in narrow spike-like inflorescences on dark stems; flowering occurs in the period from July to August.
The variety Little Golden Ray belongs to the species Ligularia dentata. This is a low-growing plant 30–40 cm tall with leathery leaves. The inflorescences have a corymbose shape with daisy-like yellow-orange flowers; the flowering period lasts from July to September.
