Variety description

The Melgreen variety is an evergreen shrub possessing dense, fresh-green glossy foliage that maintains its decorative appearance throughout the year. The plant is well-adapted for forming medium-height hedges and borders, and can also be used as cut material for floristry.

The plant grows successfully in most soil types, however, it is sensitive to excessive moisture and waterlogging. In nursery conditions, the height of the plants reaches 150 cm, whereas in cultivation the species usually grows up to 2 meters. The variety is characterized by high resistance to the effects of sea winds.
