The plant has leathery, glossy green leaves with a creamy-white margin; upon emerging, young shoots acquire a pinkish hue. Flowering occurs from July to October, flowers are gathered in fragrant creamy-white panicles, after which black-blue fruits may form.
The variety is propagated by cuttings. The plant is frost-hardy down to -15 °C (USDA zone 7b) and adapts to various soil types, including poor ones. It is used for creating hedges, in group plantings, and container gardening.
