The variety belongs to Asian hybrids of group 1a/b. The flowers have a burgundy-red or deep purple-red hue, a darker center, and pale purple-pink nectaries. The petals may feature dark spots covering approximately one quarter of their surface. The inflorescences have a light fragrance.

The plant is low-growing with strong, upright stems and narrow, glossy, dark green lanceolate leaves. Stem height is 45 to 65 cm.

Flowering occurs from June to August. The variety is versatile, suitable for open field, mass planting, use as a potted crop, or for cut flowers. The plant is undemanding, grows well in well-drained soils, and has high winter hardiness.
