The variety belongs to the Oriental Group. The flowers have a deep purple-pink hue that becomes lighter toward the edges. The upper part of the petals has a yellowish-white tint, the midribs are distinctly purple-red, the throat is yellowish-white, and purple speckles and papillae are present.

The international registry records priority for the name «Tessa» for another Oriental lily variety bred by van den Berg. Information regarding the morphological characteristics of the variety bred by C. Steenvoorden B.V. is limited to the description of the flower's appearance.
