The variety is an interspecific hybrid obtained by crossing Limonium latifolium and Limonium bellidifolium. The plant reaches a height of 70–95 cm and is capable of producing from 35 to 60 flower stalks per year. The flowers are small, purple-blue in color, and have no fragrance.

The plant belongs to thermophilic and drought-tolerant crops requiring sunny locations. In floriculture, it is used as a filler for bouquets. The variety series underwent radiation breeding to obtain mutations.
