The variety is an upright-growing perennial with thin erect stems and narrow glaucous-green leaves. The plant height corresponds to species characteristics, ranging from 60 to 120 cm. The plant has a long flowering period, which starts in May or June and continues until October.
The variety is winter-hardy in USDA zones 3–9, prefers sunny sites and well-drained soils. Lodging resistance is medium, therefore support may be required in strong winds. The plant is sensitive to waterlogging, which can cause root rots, and is used primarily for ornamental purposes.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
