The oilseed flax variety Iunia 96 has repeatedly been the subject of comparative studies aimed at examining the effect of sowing density on biometric indicators. Specifically, during experiments, the average number of branches per plant was recorded at approximately 7.46.
The physical properties of the variety's seeds, such as thousand kernel weight and test weight, generally corresponded to standard descriptions, with some experiments noting a slight increase in thousand kernel weight. The variety was also utilized to study the ability of plants to absorb heavy metals from the soil.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
