The variety belongs to diploid Westerwold ryegrasses and is characterized by a very rapid rate of growth and development. It provides high yield already at the first cut and also demonstrates good regrowth capacity after mowing.
The plant is valued for producing high-quality forage with thin, leafy stems characterized by good palatability. The variety shows high resistance to rust infection.
Ramiro variety ryegrass is intended for forage production, including the preparation of hay, silage, and haylage. Being a strictly annual plant, the variety is characterized by intensive tillering and early heading as early as the first year of sowing.
