The variety belongs to the turf group, which differs from forage varieties in increased indicators of ornamental value, turf density, and resistance to mechanical stress. The plant is characterized by rapid seed germination and the ability to form a thick cover.

The variety underwent multi-year official variety trials, during which its winter hardiness, disease resistance, in particular to rust, and turf quality were evaluated. Barvites is a classic turf variety and does not possess characteristics of regenerating variety technology with underground shoots.
