The variety is characterized by a low growth habit, which helps reduce mowing frequency. The foliage is distinguished by a very dark green color and an exceptionally fine texture. The plant possesses good resistance to red thread, crown rust, and brown patch, as well as high winter hardiness.

Evening Shade belongs to the turf type and is used for establishing cover on golf courses, sports fields, and commercial and residential properties. The variety is suitable for overseeding in areas with warm-season grasses that are in a state of winter dormancy.
