The Limona variety is recorded in the official variety registers of the European Community and is mentioned in UPOV documents. According to available data, the variety belongs to the broad-leaved forms of Lolium perenne L.

The variety participated in comparative studies of perennial grass productivity in Bavaria between 2001 and 2005, where dry matter and forage quality indicators were evaluated. A detailed agronomic description, including maturity group or disease resistance, is absent from open sources.
