The variety belongs to early- or mid-maturing types of perennial ryegrass. During its inclusion in official EEC variety catalogs in the 1970s, it was classified as a hay-pasture type and served as a benchmark for comparing maturity groups and growth parameters of other varieties.

In scientific literature, the variety was used as a control sample in experiments on plant productivity, research on seedling resistance to chemical substances, and in studies monitoring fluoride accumulation under conditions of environmental pollution.
