Variety description

The plant is an annual herbaceous species with a chromosome number of 2n=14. Its morphological characteristics include smooth leaves with a short ligule, flat leaf blades that roll towards the end, and inflorescences in the form of two-row flattened spikes. The spindle-shaped seeds are 2.7 to 5.5 mm long with a thousand kernel weight of approximately 2.69 g. Phenologically, heading begins in the second ten-day period of April.
The crop possesses high forage value and moderate resistance to soil salinization; however, it does not tolerate waterlogging. The ecotype has not been standardized and registered as a variety due to a lack of uniformity, which distinguishes it from commercial varieties of the species Lolium rigidum.
