The variety belongs to the category of "sweet" lupins with an alkaloid content of less than 0.05%. It is intended primarily for use as a fodder crop in poultry farming and dairy cattle breeding. The plant has a determinate growth type, which contributes to the concentration of flowering, uniform ripening, and facilitates mechanized harvesting.
The grain of the variety is distinguished by a high protein content, amounting to about 38%. In scientific publications, the variety is mentioned as one of the most tolerant to anthracnose among the tested samples. "Typtop Baer" was also used in breeding work as a parental form for the creation of other varieties.
