Idefix belongs to the sweet lupin type. The plant has medium height, medium flowering and ripening times, and high resistance to lodging. The thousand kernel weight is characterized as medium.

The variety is intended for use as a forage crop for the production of green mass and grain. The crude protein content in the dry matter can reach 39.2%; however, in a number of studies, a relatively low digestibility of nutrients was noted in comparison with other varieties.
