Cup-shaped flowers bloom in early or mid-spring on bare branches. The petals are colored deep red-purple or magenta on the outside and a lighter pink shade on the inside. Sporadic reblooming is possible during the summer period.
The variety possesses winter hardiness within USDA zones 5–9. It prefers well-drained, slightly acidic soils and placement in full sun or light partial shade. Suitable for small gardens, borders, and container cultivation.
