The plant is a low-growing shrub with a height of about 0.5–0.6 m. The bush is wide, dense, with a large number of root suckers, which allows it to quickly cover an area.
The leaves are shiny, dark green in summer, and acquire a reddish-brown hue in winter. The leaf size is 16–18.5 cm in length and 8.5–13.5 cm in width; the leaflets are oval or elliptical in shape and have 15–21 spines along the edges. Flowering occurs in April; the flowers are bright yellow.
The variety shows resistance to rust and powdery mildew. It is valued for its ornamental qualities and ability to form a ground cover layer.
