The rootstock belongs to the semi-dwarf type, providing a vigor of grafted trees at a level of 45–55% of the size of trees on seedling rootstocks, which places it in an intermediate position between M.26 and M.7. It is characterized by the presence of a powerful root system, contributing to early fruiting and the formation of large scion fruits.
It possesses high resistance to fire blight, Phytophthora collar rot, and tolerance to a complex of diseases during transplanting. The rootstock propagates well in nurseries; however, it has a tendency to form root suckers, requiring removal, and the developed root system may complicate the extraction of plants from the soil.
