The variety was created based on the promising breeding sample Mb–12 through individual-family selection from source material that had been developing in a collection nursery for over 80 years.
The variety is intended for cultivation in field conditions, in particular in the Forest-Steppe of Ukraine, as a source of medicinal raw materials and a honey plant. The yield of dry herb is 3.5 t/ha in the first year and 4.9 t/ha in the second year of vegetation; seed yield in the second year reaches 315 kg/ha. The marrubiin content in dry herb is 2.8%; the variety is characterized by high productivity and plasticity.
