Variety description
10 August 2026
The variety «Lazur» is a tetraploid form, with plants that can reach a height of 120 cm. The leaves are medium to dark green in color and are characterized by a finely or medium-pinnate shape. The inflorescences (flower heads) are medium or large in size, exceeding wild forms in magnitude.
The variety belongs to the late or very late flowering category. The inflorescences contain essential oil in amounts of up to 0.7–0.85%, which includes chamazulene, α-bisabolol and its oxides. The high concentration of chamazulene gives the oil its characteristic blue color. The plants demonstrate low susceptibility to wilt.
