The variety was developed at the Istituto Sperimentale per le Colture Foraggere and is based on methods for creating synthetic varieties from parental clones. In scientific literature, it is more often regarded as a test subject or reference variety than as a commercial standard with strictly described morphological traits.
In comparative trials, the variety demonstrates high forage value and productivity, suitable for dairy farming conditions. The plant is adapted to loamy soils and zones with limited drought stress; however, exact metric parameters of the variety are not presented in open sources.
