The variety belongs to the Miltoniopsis group, which is often called the pansy orchid due to the shape of its flowers. Unlike the Brazilian Miltonia genus, this variety belongs to high-altitude orchid species.

The plant reaches a height of about 55 cm. Due to the physiological characteristics of the species, the flower stalks require the use of additional support.
