The name White Moth in horticulture often causes confusion, as traditionally "Moth Orchid" refers to the genus Phalaenopsis, whereas "Pansy Orchid" refers to the genus Miltoniopsis. In publications, the name is more often associated with Phalaenopsis, but there are mentions of the Miltoniopsis "White Moth" variety.

This variety is characterized by the presence of white satin petals and sepals, complemented by a red-burgundy-purple "waterfall" pattern on the flower lip. Official data on the breeding origin or specific agronomic characteristics for this plant are absent.
