Itoyo is a clone within the Miltoniopsis Mary Sugiyama hybrid, whose full botanical identifier is Miltoniopsis Mary Sugiyama 'Itoyo'. The plant is known as a parent form in the creation of the Miltoniopsis QF Kial hybrid, obtained as a result of crossing with Miltoniopsis Tome Yokoyama 'Black Swallow'.
