The Miltoniopsis Hajime Ono 'Maui Splash' variety forms large flowers 10–12 cm in size, possessing a distinct fragrance in the morning. The petal coloration includes combinations of pink, red, white, and yellow shades, with a characteristic "waterfall" pattern. Flowering lasts from 4 to 6 weeks.

The plant is demanding regarding growing conditions, requiring a cool climate with temperatures no higher than 25°C and moderate shading. It tolerates hot conditions poorly, requiring specialized cooling systems in warm regions. Agrotechnics include regular fertilization, and propagation is carried out by division or tissue culture.
