The plant is fast-growing, reaches a height of about 2 meters, and forms large leaves. It blooms with pink flowers, which is why it is often grown for ornamental purposes in gardens, flower beds, and pots. The variety requires minimal maintenance.

It belongs to the dark tobacco varieties, yet possesses mild flavor characteristics. It is used as pipe or cigarette tobacco, serving as a component in blends for flavoring with cocoa or vanilla, and is also used as raw material for cigar production.
