The variety belongs to the Oriental tobacco group and is characterized by a compact cylindrical plant shape. The plant is multi-leaved, and the leaves have characteristic wavy margins. Plant height varies; the variety is often used as a parent form in hybridization to create new varieties.

The variety possesses a specific aroma typical of the Prilep tobacco type and is used as an aromatic component in cigarette production. The nicotine content in the raw material depends on agrotechnical conditions. Research on the variety included the study of resistance to diseases such as black shank.
