The variety was created as part of the “Sake Rice Project” to adapt crops suitable for Japanese winemaking to the conditions of Northern Italy. The plant belongs to the early-maturing group and has characteristic pubescence.

The grain of the variety is classified as medium-sized pearl. Regarding phytosanitary characteristics, low resistance to rice blast is noted.
