The variety is early-maturing, with a vegetation period of about 130 days. The plant has a medium-short stem and is resistant to lodging. The variety is moderately sensitive to rice blast and leaf spot, and sensitive to helminthosporiosis.

The grain is elongated in shape, white, crystalline, without a white center ("pearl"), and contains about 18% amylose. The rice belongs to the aromatic varieties of the "Lungo B" group.

The variety is intended for industrial cultivation. Early maturity allows for late sowing dates, which is used to control infestation by "red rice".
