The variety is characterized by a short vegetative cycle until the 50% heading stage. It is adapted to growing conditions in the wetlands of the Guadalquivir River valley in Spain and is oriented toward the needs of the rice processing industry.
In scientific literature, the variety is used as a subject for the development of SNP markers necessary for the identification of japonica-type rice varieties. It is also used in research to evaluate food quality and study the metal profile in the grain of various rice varieties.
