The variety RTPIV790-01 (commercial name Duchesse de Lorraine) is an Itoh hybrid obtained by crossing Paeonia lactiflora (variety Miss America) and a tree peony (variety Golden Isles). The plant reaches a height of 60–120 cm.
The flowers are bright yellow, fully double. The lacy foliage has a deep red shade when emerging, gradually turning green, and maintains its decorative qualities until autumn. The variety forms strong stems that hold heavy inflorescences without staking.
The plant is suitable for cut flowers and decorative landscaping. The winter hardiness of the variety ranges from zone 3a to 9b. It is characterized as a vigorously growing hybrid with relatively low maintenance requirements.
