The Onyx variety belongs to the group of short-stemmed plants with early or medium-early maturity. It possesses high lodging resistance, good phytosanitary status, and produces a consistently large number of capsules on each plant.
The seeds of the variety are blue. One of the key features is an extremely low percentage of formation of undesirable open capsules. The variety is high-yielding and suitable both for the food industry and for the production of poppy straw for pharmaceutical purposes.
