The variety was obtained by individual selection from regional white-seeded populations. It belongs to mid-tall plants. The closed-type capsules prevent spontaneous seed shedding; the seeds have a white color and uniform coloration.

The plant has moderate resistance to lodging. The variety shows good resistance to major diseases, including moderate resistance to leaf and capsule infection by the fungus Pleospora calvescens and relatively high resistance to Peronospora arborescens.
