The plant forms a rounded or cushion-shaped bush with leathery, serrated, lanceolate leaves. The leaf color changes from light green to dark green; young shoots have a brownish-purple hue.
Flowering lasts from June to September. The variety prefers sunny or semi-shaded locations with well-drained soil. Moderately winter-hardy, withstands temperature drops down to -10°C…-12°C, requires covering or container cultivation in regions with harsh winters.
The plant is used for landscaping terraces, growing in pots, rock gardens, and also as a border or ground cover element. Light pruning is recommended after flowering to maintain the shape.
