Variety description

The variety is a tetraploid form of Passiflora caerulea obtained through breeding. The plant is a vigorously growing evergreen vine reaching 4–6 meters in height in the open field, and about 1.5 meters in container culture. The leaves of the plant are thicker and larger than those of the original species, acquiring a leathery texture with age.
The flowers of the variety are large, up to 11–12 cm in diameter, consisting of white petals and sepals with a contrasting corona of blue filaments. The flowering period lasts from mid-spring to the end of the warm months. The variety is capable of setting decorative orange-yellow fruits if cross-pollination with other specimens of the species occurs.
The plant is distinguished by high growth vigor and increased cold hardiness, withstanding temperature drops down to -8...-10°C. The primary use is decorative for adorning pergolas, trellises, and walls, as well as cultivation as a houseplant.
