The Fiscomedy variety belongs to the zonal pelargonium group (Pelargonium ×hortorum), not to scented pelargonium. The plant is often used in agronomic and breeding trials as a reference sample.

Morphologically, the variety is distinguished by the presence of a reddish-brown zone on the leaf blade and an entire leaf margin. The plant's flowers have a diameter of approximately 5.8 cm.
