The plant is an erect semi-shrub 30–40 cm in height. The leaves have a serrated margin and a pleasant scent. The variety is distinguished by good branching ability and forms a compact bush.
The bright scarlet inflorescences are characterized as multi-flowered and long-lasting, with the ability not to shatter. The variety is used as a parental form in breeding and as a model object in the study of rooting processes, cutting storage, and leaf senescence physiology.
