The name Penrad appears in registration documents as an alternative designation for the pelargonium variety Happy Face Amethyst. A separate, independent description of agronomic characteristics for the variety under the name Penrad does not exist.
The plant is a herbaceous perennial. The growth habit is trailing, pendulous. The leaves have a rounded lobed shape, the flowers are colored purple and complemented by red markings.
