The plant is a bushy perennial with narrow heart-shaped leaves. Leaf color varies from silvery-olive to burgundy with a silvery bloom and distinct veins. The variety is characterized by compactness and a moderate growth rate, which distinguishes it from other species of Persicaria.
Flowering occurs in late summer or early autumn with small white flowers gathered in loose inflorescences. The variety possesses high growth vigor and winter hardiness corresponding to USDA zone 5. It is used in border and container plantings, as well as decorative greenery for bouquets.
