Variety description

10 August 2026

Representatives of the Petunia x hybrida Grandiflora Superbissima group are distinguished by large flowers with a diameter of 10 to 16 cm, which have strongly ruffled or fringed edges and a wide throat. The plants themselves possess a robust, upright stem with weak shoot branching.

Biologically, many forms of the group are tetraploid, which provides them with increased resistance to climatic conditions, although they require careful maintenance. The flowering period continues from June to October. Due to the large decorative flowers, the plants are most often used for cultivation in containers and in wind-protected areas.

Names such as Superbissima Rosa or Superbissima Rosea are commercial designations for color variations within this group, rather than unique varieties with registered originators.
