The variety was bred from botanical garden material using the method of negative selection. The plant reaches a height of 40–80 cm and has a spreading growth habit. Flowering begins 5–10 days later than in Phacelia tanacetifolia, occurring in June–July, which ensures a prolonged honey collection period.
The crop is used in crop rotations as a phytosanitary break before rapeseed, potatoes, or sugar beet, as it is not a host for many soil-borne pests, including nematodes. The variety is undemanding, resistant to specific diseases and pests, and contributes to the improvement of soil structure due to its root system.
