The name Snow Queen often appears in breeding as a pedigree element or a historical cultivar Phalaenopsis Gladys Read 'Snow Queen', used as a parent form. In commercial sales, white or cream-white multiflora-type Phalaenopsis are offered under this name.

Morphologically, these plants reach a height of 45–50 cm, have a leaf rosette of 25–30 cm and a flower size of 4–5 cm. The flowers have a pleasant aroma. The plants require diffused light and are characterized by medium resistance to diseases.
