The Snowappel variety is a commercial potted orchid variety that often serves as a subject for research projects. In the course of studies, cultivation strategies were tested on this variety, including nitrogen fertilizer dosage and the electrical conductivity level of the nutrient solution.

During the assessment of product quality, leaf length and quantity, as well as the number of flower stalks and flowers, are measured for plants of this variety.
