The Phalaenopsis ‘Kaoda Twinkle’ hybrid possesses a compact rosette 20–30 cm in diameter with dense green leaves. The plant's flower stalks reach a height of 45–55 cm. The variety is productive, usually producing two often branching flower stalks; blooming can recur twice per season.

The flowers have an average size of 4–7 cm and a dense waxy texture. The petal coloration varies from dark purple to a dark burgundy shade, visually perceived as “black”, while the lip has a contrasting white color. The plant emits a light fragrance, which becomes stronger during morning hours, under increased humidity, or upon exposure to the sun.
