The Kelvedon Stringless variety is a climbing form of runner bean. The plant forms long pods reaching a size of about 25 cm, which do not contain coarse fibers. The seeds of this variety have a characteristic mottled coloration.
The variety is intended for vegetable use, in particular for the consumption of young green pods. In breeding practice, it is often used as a reference sample when conducting tests of other varieties of this crop.
