The plant is vigorous, climbing, reaching a height of 1.8 to 4 meters. Pods are characterized by an intense dark purple color, have an oval cross-section, and are 20–25 cm long. A characteristic feature of the variety is the change in color of the pods during cooking from dark purple to dark green.

The variety is late-maturing: the period from emergence to seed maturity is 90–100 days. The pods are tender, fiberless, and have a pleasant taste. Plants are resistant to bean mosaic virus and bacteriosis, are thermophilic, and require supports and regular watering.
