The Cena del Cura bean is a climbing plant traditionally grown in Spain. The seeds of the variety are characterized by a pale yellow color and a rounded, plump shape.
In cooking, the variety is known for its ability to impart a soft texture and a rich, light-colored broth to dishes. Due to its high protein content, it is widely used in traditional stew and soup recipes of Asturian-Galician cuisine.
